Skills-Building for Trans, Gender Diverse and Non-Binary Peer Support

TransGathering is an annual event dedicated to bringing trans, gender diverse and non-binary people and supporters together. 2023’s TransGathering will focus on providing training and support to individuals and organisations who provide peer support services to our communities.
The event will be open to both organisations offering peer support and individuals — we encourage individuals who are interested in the concepts of peer support outside of organisations to come along as well.
There will be three training sessions — you can choose to attend just one session, two sessions or all three sessions. The sessions will be on the following themes:
– Trauma Awareness for TGD Facilitators
– Conflict Confidence
– Anti-Racism Training

NOTE ON COVID SAFETY: We ask that everyone who is able please wear a mask, so we can safeguard the health of the most vulnerable among us. We will have masks and sanitizer available onsite, and we will also have an air purifier in the room. We will work to provide limited outdoor seating for those who would feel safest eating their lunch outdoors.
