UPDATE: Author panel starts 7pm. Copies of the anthology will be available to purchase from 6.30pm and after the panel discussion.

Join in to talk writing, creative expression and community collaboration with a panel of trans and gender diverse (TGD) writers and editors.

Chaired by Trans Sisters United co-founder and Nothing to Hide contributor, Sasja Sÿdek, the panel features authors Tiff Tan, Madison Moffat and author/editor Nick Lawson.

Sasja will lead a conversation about how Tiff, Madison and Nick’s different lived experiences intersect with their trans-ness and how their self-representations are influenced by contexts of collective storytelling.

IN FLUX was released alongside TGD community anthology We Twinkle Like Gold (Thousand Threads Press) last December and follows hot on the heels of Australia’s first mainstream collection of trans and gender diverse writing, Nothing to Hide: Voices of Trans and Gender-Diverse Australia (Allen & Unwin).

Together these three books showcase the work of over 80 authors, signalling increasing mainstream interest in trans and gender-diverse lives as well as highlighting the collaboration, experimentation and activism we still need in order to survive and thrive.

Both In Flux: Trans and Gender-Diverse Reflections and Imaginings and We Twinkle Like Gold grew out of Melbourne-based writing workshops and are published by local trans/gender/queer publisher, Thousand Threads Press.
