VAC: Presents: Special Community Preview of MAJOR!
A special community preview of the documentary MAJOR! will be held on Wednesday the 4th of May at the Positive Living Centre, 51 Commercial Road, South Yarra.
MAJOR! follows the life and campaigns of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a 73 year-old African-American transgender woman who has been fighting for the rights of trans women of colour for over 50 years. It tells the story of one woman’s journey, a community’s history, and how caring for each other can be a revolutionary act.

The event will start with light refreshments at 7pm with the film screening at 7:30pm.There will be a panel afterwards with some trans people of colour, so this really will be a fantastic event.
This is a free screening but bookings are essential due to limited capacity.
