tilde’s free filmmaking workshop opportunity

Call out to participate in tilde’s Accessible Moving Image Making workshop.

Developed specifically for trans and gender diverse people of all ages and their allies, and produced by tilde: Melbourne Trans and Gender Diverse Film Festival, Accessible Moving Image Making will explore different aspects of filmmaking and equip participants with the skills to produce films that are by, for, or about trans and gender diverse people.

Accessible Moving Image Making participants will learn fundamental and overarching principles of narrative filmmaking and flesh out how they can be applied to low budget and accessible moving image making.

Anna Helme (My My, tilde 2015), a genderqueer filmmaker working in Naarm will be leading the workshop, with support from trans-masculine filmmaker Emmett Aldred (Desperately Seeking Shavers, ABC 2018). Anna lectures in film production at University of Melbourne and has facilitated filmmaking workshops with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image and Youthworx Media.

Online applications close Friday 10 August, 5.00pm.
