Research: LGBTQI+ experiences of cancer and cancer care

A team of researchers at the Translational Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University, are conducting a study about LGBTQI+ experiences of cancer and cancer care.

They want to hear from all LGBTQI+ people that have a cancer or medical intervention to reduce cancer risk, and their partner(s), family members and friends who supported them. They are doing surveys, interviews and photovoice research! Their findings will be used to develop better information and support for LGBTQI+ people with cancer and carers – communities described as an “invisible diversity” in cancer care.
