A Thousand Threads: Stories of Us will experiment with collaborating our narratives into a beautiful story. We work together to affirm our realities, our experiences, and our place in this world. The threads of our lives are intertwined with each other, and this opens up the possibility for unique storytelling.
This project will explore what can happen when we take the opportunity to place our experiences side by side, learn about the connectedness of our community, and share this beyond the borders of our experience.
The project will involve weekly meetings for 8 sessions and work with creative facilitators and guest presenters to explore how to tell your stories. Participants will decide on their desired project outcome – for example, a writing publication or performance piece – and bring it to completion.
Who can apply?
Gender diverse folks, 18+ years old.
People whose schedule allows them to commit to the 8 week program.
No prior experience or special skills necessary – you are already telling your own story; this is an opportunity to tell it with your peers!
When/where/how:
Saturdays, 30 Oct – 18 Dec inclusive, 2-3.30pm on Zoom
