LGBTI Multicultural Project Diversity in Greek Families: Let’s Start the Conversation
PRONIA has been funded by the State Government to deliver the LGBTI Multicultural Project. This one-year project addresses diversity within the Greek community and start the conversation on issues impacting LGBTI people and their families.
The overall objectives of the LGBTI Multicultural Project:
- Development of a culturally and linguistically responsive project addressing the needs of the Australian Greek LGBTI community and their families.
- Develop links and network with the Australian Greek same-sex attracted, sex & gender diverse (LGBTI) individuals, their families in the Greek/broader community.
- Develop links with the LGBTI sector, establish referral pathways.
- Produce a resource directory of services for the Australian Greek LGBTI community and their families.
- culturally and linguistically appropriate/responsive information, messaging for the LGBTI community and disseminate to the Greek Community.
- Conduct consultations with the Australian Greek LGBTI community and their families to identify gaps in service provision
- Provide information workshops on issues of interest to the Australian Greek LGBTI community and their families
