LGBTI Community Reference Group

Do you want to contribute to the development of the Victorian Pride Centre? Get involved by becoming a member of the LGBTI Community Reference Group.

The community reference group will provide advice to, and assist the board in making decisions about the design of the Pride Centre building and the way in which it will operate once its doors open.

The LGBTI Community Reference Group will help ensure that the development of Victoria’s first Pride Centre reflects and responds to the needs of all LGBTI people. To maintain the principles of inclusion and equity of access, we must ensure that the building can be accessed, understood and used to the greatest extent possible by all people regardless of their gender, identity, sexuality, age, size, ability or disability.

The Group will provide an opportunity for a broad range of perspectives and experiences to be considered during the build and establishment of the Pride Centre.  This may include issues relating to the building and site development, communication with the community, the virtual (online) Pride Centre, general operations, and culture.  The VPC Board will, from time to time, seek the Group’s views on specific matters.

Does this sound interesting? Read the Group’s Terms of Reference and download an Application Form.  To submit your completed application form, or if you have any questions, please get in touch by emailing refgroup@pridecentre.org.au.

Applications close on Sunday, 22nd October 2017.

Have your say! :D
