The International Partnership for Queer Youth Resilience are sSeeking participants who are:
- 14-29 years old
- self-identify as a sexual or gender minority youth (SGMY/LGBTQ+)
- play video games regularly
- live in Canada, the United States, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, or Mexico
The purpose of this research study is to investigate the experiences of gender and sexual minority youth (GSMY) aged 14-29 while playing video games and/or participating in online gaming communities and spaces.
The International Partnership for Queer Youth Resilience are also interested in exploring the impact that LGBTQ+ representation (or lack thereof) in video games has on the identity development and wellbeing of GSMY. This impact might include affecting how GSMY play games, such as their gaming habits and patterns. We are also interested in examining the positive and negative experiences that GSMY have while gaming and how these may affect identity development and wellbeing.
If you are interested in participating, please review these instructions on taking screenshots based on your gaming system.
