14 July is International Non-Binary People’s Day, a day to celebrate non-binary folks.
Non-binary is an umbrella term for gender identities that sit outside of the gender binary. The gender binary is the idea that there are only two genders, male and female. Non-binary is sometimes shortened to NB or enby. In Writing Themselves In 4, 19.5% of respondents were non-binary.
