Get Together for a Free Breastscreen (VIC)

Two LGBTIQ identifying women, maybe a couple are caressing and smiling whilst sitting outdoors

Rainbow Rose is a BreastScreen Victoria initiative, offering dedicated screening sessions for the LGBTI community.

Members of the LGBTI community can face unique barriers when it comes to screening and are an under-screened group. Rainbow Rose sessions create a space where the community can feel safe and supported, and where people can get together with a friend or a group of friends to screen.

Sessions are available to LGBTI people between the high-risk ages of 50-74.Screening takes 10 minutes, is free, conducted by a woman, and you do not need a GP’s referral or Medicare card.

Where: BreastScreen Victoria’s Rose Clinic:Level 3 David Jones Women’s Store, 310 Bourke Street Melbourne

When: In 2021, we will be holding four sessions, the first will take place on Thursday 25 February from 2 – 5pm. Future 2021 sessions will be held in May, August & November (dates TBC).
