Hiring and Employment Discrimination Against Transgender People: A Nationwide Report Investigating the Effects of Employment Difficulties in the Australian Trans Population
The study will be conducted in three phases. Phase one (which has already been completed) was an advisory group of 6-8 people within the trans community. Results from this assisted in formulating the current survey you are to complete. Phase two (what you are being currently asked to participate in) is a nation-wide survey, which will be used to explore the relationships between experiences in employment (obtaining and within) and health and wellbeing outcomes (psychopathological symptoms and quality of life). Phase three (which is an ‘opt-in’ option at the end of this form) should you wish to participate will involve interviewing approximately 20 trans people across Australia exploring the specific health and wellbeing factors associated with unemployment.
