14th Bendigo Queer Film Festival

April 28 – 30 2017 marks the 14th annual Bendigo Queer Film Festival (BQFF), and after securing tri annual funding from the City of Greater Bendigo last year we have a brilliant list of films, including the Australian feature ‘Pulse’ and the opening night smash from Ireland ‘A Date for Mad Mary’. The films screen at the LaTrobe Art Institute in the heart of Bendigo’s beautiful arts precinct on View Street. Another highlight of the film festival is the Queer Country Art Exhibition at Dudley House, also in the arts precinct, from April 21 – May 7.

“The BQFF committee are proud to present one of Australia’s only regional queer film festivals, now in its 14th year. There truly is something for everyone in this year’s program: short films and animation; Australian and foreign features; gripping and fun docos; youth oriented content; serious drama; and comedy. We are proud to offer content that caters to the diversity that exists within Central Victoria. We are thrilled to present a great program of events that celebrate, educate and inform LGBTQIA Victorians and the wider Goldfields community. All are welcome to be a part of the fun.” – Suellen Pepperell – Convenor of the Bendigo Queer Film Festival
