Transgender Victoria and the Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria (ARCVic) have partnered to create a support group that provides information and self-help opportunities for trans and gender diverse (TGD) people experiencing anxiety.
The group meetings are usually very small, about 3 or 4 plus 2 facilitators and no referral or appointment is required. You can attend them as often as you wish.
Held at Drummond Street Services, 100 Drummond Street, Carlton, the group is run on the second Wednesday and fourth Saturday of the month.
The organisers say:
We run the group pretty much unstructured, we help with whatever the participants want where ever they are at in their journey.
Both facilitators are trans/gender diverse and trained peer facilitators.
Everything is confidential, we only use first names and you disclose only what you are comfortable with, nothing if you want. We are happy for you to bring a supporter/worker/parent if you wish.
