Genderqueer Australia (previously Melbourne Genderqueer) has held events at this venue almost since we began and highly recommend it. They’ve also hosted Ygender and Dude magazine events.

They’ve also got gender-neutral, accessible toilets!

1000 £ Bend is one of the most unique spaces in Melbourne, comprising a bustling cafe, a massive gallery and events space and an air conditioned cinema space.  Founded in 2009 following the closure of the city’s iconic St Jerome’s laneway bar, the venue  – which is located in what was formerly the Peter Stevens motorbike repair garage – has quickly cemented its place as a focal point of Melbourne’s creative community.
