Genderqueer Australia is going to take part in next year’s Pride March in Melbourne, as part of the greater LGBTIQ community.
It’ll be the first time we march (well, to be honest, it’s more of a meander) down Fitzroy Street with everyone else.
We’ll end up at the gardens at the bottom where we’ll hopefully be able to stop, take a rest and hang out with peeps!
Date: 3rd February 2013
Time: Assemble 12.00 for 2pm march (you don’t have to be there right from the beginning though)
Who: We are number 2F in the march, so close to the front.

Where: Birrarung Marr, Melbourne (down the river from Flinders Street and Federation Square).

Come and join Butch Femme Trans and Genderqueer Australia for our annual hangout at Birrarung Marr during Midsumma carnival this year.
We’re under the fabric gazebo on the grass in front of the main stage and will post photos to let everyone know where we are on the day.

GQA, Gender Blender and friends will be getting together for an impromptu picnic and clothes swap in the park.
Bring your pre-loved clothes and goods to swap, donate, sell or share. Have a summer clean out and bring down any unwanted books, clothes, games, toys, music etc. to share with others.

The day is upon us! Genderqueer Australia is launching with a brand new website!
To celebrate, we’re holding a bake-sale and clothes swap upstairs at Thousand Pound Bend in Melbourne.
All human-identifying people welcome
Bring an article of clothing to swap with other people!
Bring baked goods to donate or coins to purchase gingerbread genderqueers and other baked goods!
After 2 years at the same venue, we’ve decided to make a move!
1000 £ bend has been brilliant to us, and has hosted our organisation launch and 24 plus GQA gatherings, but the time has come to find different digs.
Over the next two weeks our crack team of chai tasters will be scoping out the local cafes in search of the perfect brew for GQA peeps. Food, accessibility and space are also being looked into.
We’ll post updates over the next month and then see you all at the new venue on the 1st of June!
